It is of no surprise that a scene where a woman takes an electric carving knife and starves cutting her breast off like it’s Thanksgiving turkey infront of patients sitting in the waiting room proved to be too much for PTC.
“Not content with depictions or descriptions of bestiality, incestuous necrophilia, or blood-soaked stabbings, the narcissistic sociopaths behind the production and distribution of Nip/Tuck have chosen to establish yet another low-point in the history of television,” said PTC President Tim Winter, wordily. “Tuesday’s episode portrayed sickening and bloody images of a woman who takes a mastectomy into her own hands in the crowded lobby of a doctor’s office.”
We agree, the scene is revolting and has disturbed us deeply…but it hasn’t shocked us…because we expected it from a show like Nip/Tuck.
Now what we didn’t expect was to invest multiple season viewings in a show like Gray’s Anatomy only to end up watching Izzie have sex with a ghost. To that we object…and we’re outraged…and we would like to see the ghost get mutilated in hope it will perhaps go away so that Izzie can start having sex again with real men like George…gotta erase this show from Tivo…
