200lb woman tries to choke Simon Cowell's ex to get back at him for choking Paula Abdul

Yes, the woman (Janice Thibodeaux) might be a crazy, over-fed gorilla with a passion for chocolate-chip cookies and a need to protect the little people, like Paula Abdul, but she does make a good point: Simon Cowell doesn’t have good manners and someone should teach him a few. Too bad her idea of doing so was to go for his ex-girlfriend’s carotid artery.

To explain, Terri Seymour, who’s a correspondent for Extra, had just finished reporting on American Idol’s final performance show when was attacked by an overweight woman.
‘The next thing I know this woman has me in a headlock and was trying to choke me,’ Terry said of her ordeal.
‘She said, “You’re that girl on TV right?” That was it.’

The drama ended when the woman eventually released her grip on Seymour and tried to run away. ‘The police were fantastic,’ Seymour said  ‘They were close by and managed to catch her.’

According to a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department, officers on hand for crowd control witnessed the incident, which took place around 7pm. 

As Seymour was leaving the venue, she was approached by 33-year-old Janice Thibodeaux, who asked if Seymour was Cowell’s ex-girlfriend. After Seymour answered yes, police say Thibodeaux attacked her, grabbing her neck and attempting to choke her.

Thibodeaux, who is being held on $52,703 bail, had this to say about her attacking Terry: ‘I wasn’t cool with Simon Cowell choking Paula Abdul on the show last week and with her crying-out “help” as he did so,’ she said.
‘Nobody said anything about that so I wanted to confront him about it because that is not appropriate behavior, is it?’

Despite their split last year, Terri and Simon remain close and regularly participate in TV interviews and promotional activities together.Speaking last year, Simon admitted they spoke on the phone every day: ‘I do call Terri, first, when I’ve got an issue or I’m moaning about something, or I want to bounce an idea off.’

Simon has vowed not to date anyone for several years ‘out of respect’ for Terri and after the incident he has ordered his bodyguards to protect her instead of him until she recovers from the shock.

So the big question is: Will Simon start kissing Paula’s ass next season…because we’re sure she has a lot more crazy as a bat fans up her kimono sleeves…kinda like the secret knives of a tiny ninja…
