Christian Bale is a great actor, but somewhat of a psychotic freak and one of these days he’s going to break a poor assistant’s or a sound director’s neck and start sucking their blood (well, he does have those natural fangs) when they inadvertedly get in his way while in the act of expressing his geniousness. The following is a proof of his madness:
Bale turned vegetarian when he was seven years old and kept it up for nearly 20 years, until an odd movie theatre experience left him craving meat.
He tells GQ magazine, “I was in Toronto and went to see the (1997) movie Life is Beautiful by myself. And when I came out, I had a craving for blood unlike anything I had ever experienced since I decided to go vegetarian.
“It was a compulsion. It was undeniable. I went to several restaurants, one right after the other and got the biggest bloodiest steaks I could get my hands on. It was the first time I had tasted flesh in almost 20 years.”
What he wanted to say and really couldn’t because he has a strong distaste for the color orange (does not suit his complexion at all) was that he craved the flesh of a few sixteens (he doesn’t bother with names, their social security number is good enough for identification), but he somehow managed to control the angry voices in his head and thus, settled for the mediocre taste of cow.
