Jordan's "celebrity rape" claims ignite police investigation

According to British newspapers, Jordan’s cry-for-attention claim that a well-known celebrity raped her a few years back has prompted a police investigation.

Officers visited the 31-year-old yesterday after her revelation sparked feverish speculation over the identity of the alleged culprit and now plan a full interview with her.

A Surrey Police spokeswoman said: “No report of rape has been made to police. Officers have spoken to her, they will be following lines of inquiry.”

But a senior cop said: “Jordan has not officially reported a serious sexual assault to us, but has put it in the public domain.

“We as a force take rape seriously. If she says she’s been raped we have a duty to investigate if a crime did indeed take place.

“Rape is not a complaint you make lightly and we have a duty of care to a potential victim to substantiate those claims and take appropriate action.”

Mum-of-three Jordan, who yesterday took son Harvey, seven, to a London eye hospital, told in a magazine article this month how she was raped by a “very famous celebrity” – but did not name the man.

The attack is said to have taken place several years ago in London’s West End.

Jordan, real name Katie Price, said she was only speaking of her ordeal because boyfriend Alex Reid, 34, had caused a furore by simulating a rape in a film.

Celebrity gossip websites have been swamped with messages speculating about the culprit. Jordan has insisted she will never name him, but IS said to have told a film crew shooting her TV show What Katie Did Next. They are reportedly sworn to secrecy.

Meanwhile, Jordan’s ex-fiance (was engaged to her in the mid-90′s), former Gladiator Ace, real name Warren Furman (see picture above) has come forward with a new piece of information. He claims that he found a piece of paper with a celebrity’s phone number and name on it while the two were engaged and when he confronted her, thinking she was cheating on him, she started shaking and crying and refused to talk about it. 

At the time Warren took this as an admission she had let herself be seduced by the man.

But now he wonders if it was a reaction to being raped by him.

According to The Sun, recalling the row in a hotel, Warren, 36, said: “Seeing his name was like a red rag to a bull.

“He had a notorious reputation in showbiz for being a serious player, a serial sh***er. I screamed at her and walked out.

“But now, after hearing about her rape claim, I’m haunted by the fear that she reacted like that because of what that man had done to her.”
