Russell Brand was held by customs officials at Los Angeles airport on Saturday (12Dec09) and surprisingly enough it was not because they were dying to know how he scored the world’s holy grail of cleavages or in the hope he’d be carrying pictures of him smiling while using his girlfriend’s naked twins as ear muffs.
Brand who was on his way to visit Katy Perry was instead questioned for an hour about his police record before being allowed to head out of the airport.
Brand wrote on his personal Twitter page: “In LA. Held by customs for an hour – because of ‘previous convictions’ then stepped into a a drizzlin (sic) grey-scape. It’s like being 16 again.”
Brand has had numerous run-ins with the police in the past, having been arrested 11 times.
