Tom Cruise’s career has had its ups and downs, but thing seems to remain constant — his nastly legal war with magazine editor(Bold Magazine) and jack-of-all-trades guy Michael Davis Sapir.
Sapir is the guy who drew Cruise’s wrath in 2001 when he claimed to have a gay sex tape of the actor. Cruise sued Sapir for $100 million, and the case was eventually settled out of court, with Sapir admitting he had no such tape. But now, TMZ reports, Sapir is suing Cruise (lawsuit was filed on Friday, December 18), the actor’s attorney Bert Fields, and jailed private investigator Anthony Pellicano (currently serving 15 years in prison for an unrelated wiretapping scheme), claiming the trio conspired to spy on him and put an illegal wiretap on his home during the legal wrangling.
Fields told TMZ “The allegations are absolute garbage.” Cruise’s rep did not comment. Pellicano recently served a 3 1/2-year sentence in prison on a racketeering conviction tied to his PI business.
