The new season of American Idol premiered last night and it was the usual Idol madness. However there was a very awkward moment provided by Steven Tyler, of course. It came during the first hour of the show, when Shannon Magrane walked into the audition room. You can see Steven’s eyes light up and you can almost tell what he is thinking, but then Shannon tells the judges that she is only 15 years old! That should make Steven tone down the creepiness, right? There is no way he’d hit on a 15 year old, right? Wrong.
The situation got even more awkward when Shannon brought her family in the room, which included her dad Joe Magrane a former MLB pitcher. When Joe came in the room he went to shake Steven Tyler’s hand, as he was shaking his hand he asked Steven, “How are things in Beantown?” Steven replied with, “Ah, Beautiful. Hot, humid and happening…just like your daughter.”

My question to you, was this crossing the line? Does this officially make him creepy? Was he lucky that Joe Magrane didn’t punch him in his face? The line that gets me is the, “humid” part. That just sounds icky; I honestly do not know what Steven Tyler was thinking. What a creep.
