Ben Roethlisberger has settled the lawsuit filed against him by a woman named Andrea McNulty. As a lot of you know, Andrea filed the lawsuit back in 2009 after claiming Ben raped her while he was in town for a golf tournament back in 2008. It is unclear if Andrea was paid in the settlement, but it is probably safe to assume she was.
If you’re not familiar with the story, allegedly Ben lured McNulty into his Harrah’s penthouse suite and forced her to have sex. She claimed that Harrah’s employees covered up the whole thing to protect Ben Roethlisberger.
McNulty’s story probably has some truth to it, considering Ben was accused of similar actions just one year later. A woman came forward in Georgia claiming Ben sexually assaulted her after a long night of drinking. However, it should be noted that no charges were filed for that incident.
Hopefully Ben can somehow manage to make it through 2012 without sexually assaulting someone. Maybe that was his New Year’s resolution? “Try not to rape someone in 2012…oh and buy a puppy.” It’s a proven fact rapists love puppies…puppies and ski masks.
