Here are my thoughts:

They need to cut the number of best picture nominees in half. Some of the pictures listed including the Kids are Alright don’t belong in that category. While it may be excellent Lifetime fare, it is mediocre theatrical melodrama. The Golden Globes pretty much acknowledged it. The movie doesn’t have a single laugh line, but it was in the “Comedy or Musical”, i.e., “Not serious”, category.

Oh and Toy Story 3 in the Best Picture category? For one, it’s already in the Best Animated category which should be enough, and for another, no f%$king sequel to a sequel should ever be in the Best Picture category. Hrumph!

Apart from that, the nominations I was expecting are all there and Natalie Portman will probably get her first Oscar.

Oh, and Dinner for Schmucks was ROBBED!
