Che Guevara's granddaughter naked for carrot revolution
Remember Ernesto “Che” Guevara, the marxist revolutionary who played a key role in Fidel Castro rising to power in Cuba and who was executed in Bolivia in 1967? Well, his granddaughter Lydia Gevara wants to pay tribute to her grandfather…by posing with a bandolier of baby carrots, streaked in mud.
The 24-year old Lydia is the new face of a PETA campaign aimed at South America titled “Join the Vegetarian Revolution”.
The print campaign is expected to debut in October in magazines and posters, PETA spokesperson Michael McGraw said. It will be launched first in Argentina, where Che Guevara was born, and then internationally. PETA approached the 24-year-old in recent months after finding out she was a vegetarian, McGraw said.
“It very much evokes the tag line of the ad, which is ‘Join the vegetarian revolution,’” McGraw said. “It’s an homage of sorts to her late grandfather.”
Which just shows how stupid PETA people are. Attempting to prevent people from killing animals by paying tribute to a villain who contributed much to the taking of many human lives and the suffering of thousands more…
