Here his mate is injured badly and unable to fly.

He brings her food and lovingly watches over her.

She dies shortly after and he attempts to nudge her awake.

He tries harder to wake her, becoming more frantic

Realizing she’s gone he cries out in sorrow.

He continues to stand by her side silently, mourning her loss.
