Kirk Cameron Supports Todd Akin

Todd Akin is the Missouri Senate candidate who tried to claim that women are highly unlikely to get pregnant by a “legitimate rape” because the female body has ways to try and shut the whole thing down. Kirk Cameron is an actor best known for his work in ‘Growing Pains’ he also happens to be the only person in the world defending Todd Akin.

Kirk has been making appearances on a number of morning shows today and has spent most of the morning defending Todd Akin. Saying that he just misspoke and that he apologized for his mistake, “I believe he’s a good man. He’s now in a very, very difficult spot.” Cameron told ‘Today’

As most you know, Kirk is no stranger to controversy. He has made headlines for saying homosexuality is destructive to society and for questioning that whole “evolution” thing. So, if anyone was going to defend Todd Akin, it’d be Kirk Cameron. But, I think he is going to have a difficult time trying to sell the whole “misspoke” excuse — it’s not like he just mixed up a few words or something. He said with conviction that “the female body has ways to shut it down”

That doesn’t sound like a mistake to me; it just sounds something a crazy person would say. If something like that was actually possible, Carrot Top wouldn’t be here today. I’m not claiming that Carrot Top’s mom was raped; I’m just saying she couldn’t have enjoyed having sex with someone who helped make Carrot Top. She would have shut the front door and waited for the milk man to arrive with his special package.
