Dear Shae, My son wants a tattoo and I’m afraid it will ruin his life.  What do you think?

Dear Barbara S.,
I say if he’s over 18,  you’re just going to have to let him make his own decisions.  However as a mom,  maybe talk to him about bad tattoos.  Perhaps, guide him into not getting something he may regret at some point in the future.  Make sure that he gets one in a clean and licensed tattoo shop, as opposed to one in the back of Uncle Jim’s Van.  You could always tell him that you think his idea for a tattoo is cool and then suggest you go together to get the same tattoo!  That might turn him off the idea entirely.
