Dear Shae, Why do people say, “Grow some balls” when they want you to be brave/tough?

Dear T. McJames,

My thoughts exactly, why DO people say ‘grow some balls’? Balls are weak & sensitive. Balls hurt even if accidentally grazed…hardly tough enough in my book to represent toughness or bravery. If you wanna get tough, grow a vagina. It’s rediculous what a vagina can withstand in comparison. You’ve probably at one point in your life as a male, have heard a woman say, “Try pushing a watermelon out of your penis.” I totally have to give them this one. I watched all 3 of my babies come into this world and all I have to say is, “beautiful, yet soooooo brutal.”

On that note, the next time someone calls you a pussy. Stick out your chest and be proud. Take it as a compliment, because there is nothing tougher.
