Tom Hanks Is Awesome

Tom Hanks is proving once again that he is one of the coolest celebrities around. The legendary actor was eating some food in a North Dakota diner when a fan came up to him and asked if he could take a picture with him. Tom Hanks said yes, and that is when something magical happened.

Apparently, the fan thought it’d be funny if he stole Tom’s glasses and pretended to be wasted in the photos — and the fan was right. The pictures are incredibly hilarious and awesome. The pictures were first posted on Reddit with a caption that said, “My friend met Tom Hanks, stole his glasses and pretended to be wasted.”

The pictures have been viewed more than 1.4 million times in just 24 hours! The comments on Reddit have generally all been positive; most saying something like “TOM HANKS IS AWESOME!” and some people are even sharing their own “meeting Tom Hanks” stories. One user claims that they met Tom Hanks at Typhoon Lagoon when they were 13,

“I looked over and said ‘you look familiar’ The guy goes ‘Oh yeah? Who do I look like?” Dumb me…”Uh Tom…Tom something…Cruise?” The guy let out the biggest Tom Hanks movie laugh. Man I was f**king embarrassed.”
