Britney Spears to be New X-Factor Judge?

Yes… that is one happy face there, isn’t it? One I’d bet she’s sporting right about now, seeing as how Louis Walsh has confirmed that Simon Cowell has approached Britney Spears to be the next judge on X-Factor.

Speculation has been rampant about who will fill the two empty chairs — chairs that belonged to Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger before they were canned… probably due to the fact that they screwed over soon to be child superstar Rachel Crow.

There have been rumors galore over whose booty’s will be filling those spots. It has been confirmed that Janet Jackson declined the position, but others have been named, including Mariah Carey and, more recently, Avril Lavigne.

But, when Louis Walsh — UK X-Factor judge — went on Craig Doyle Live, he confirmed that Britney not only wanted to be on the show, but Simon Cowell was pursuing her. ‘I was out with Simon Cowell during the week, he’s in London. You know like you do and I know he is talking to Britney. He’s definitely talking to Britney to do his American show. Absolutely true,’ he — somewhat — clarified.

Broken English or not, though, this man would know. And, US Weekly has reported that sources close to Spears have said that it’s the ‘perfect time’ for Britney to do the show. Well… looks like they didn’t get rid of the airheads after all…
