Was it All Just a Bunch of Lies? Paula Deen Unveils Convincing Evidence Against Ex-Manager

As The Daily Fix reported to you a few days ago, Paula Deen and her brother Bubba have been accused of sexual harrassment and racism. The ex-manager of the siblings co-owned Savannah, Georgia seafood restaurant, Uncle Bubba’s, has brought forward the allegations, claiming that the Deen siblings will face ‘ruin.’ She stated that the couple were both extremely racist, but that Bubba subjected her to pornography continually, tried to kiss her, and even spit on her.

Paula, of course, denied the allegations — as they always do. But, could she be telling the truth? Deen and her legal team have brought forward some pretty convincing evidence that ex-manager, Lisa Jackson, may have embellished a bit — or embellished it all as Deen and her team say.

TMZ was able to snag a copy of Paula’s response to the lawsuit that Jackson filed. They reported: ‘In the response, Paula included a letter from Lisa’s lawyer, who wrote bluntly, Lisa would not file the lawsuit and keep everything secret if Paula forked over $1.25 million.’ Lisa’s lawyer went on to say, ‘If we are unable to settle, the complaint will not be quietly filed.  I am making arrangements for a press conference on the day of filing.’

But, the most convincing bit that Paula brought forward was a letter from Jackson herself, written to Paula three months before she quit, stating, ‘When I started working for Bubba, he gave me an opportunity that allowed me, over time, a freedom I have never experienced… He allowed me, for once in my life, to take care of myself, and for once, have faith in myself as a person and as a woman to know that I could do it on my own… I have been given opportunities that I never thought possible, all because of you and Bubba.’

Hmm… that sure doesn’t sound like a woman who had been subjected to atrocity after atrocity, does it?
