Paula Deen and Brother Bubba Both Accused of Sexual Harassment and Racism!!!

Well… maybe she’s not the Southern Belle that we’ve all been led to believe she is. Both southern cook extraordinaire, Paula Deen, and her brother, Bubba, are being accused of sexual harassment and racism — certainly not something you’d expect from the seemingly kind-hearted grandma.

The former manager, Lisa Jackson, of Paula Deen and brother Bubba Hiers’ co-owned restaurant Uncle Bubba’s, a seafood and oyster house in Savannah, Georgia, has filed a lawsuit against the siblings for racism and sexual harassment.

The manager before Jackson was fired for having sex with the servers, so when Paula hired Jackson for the management position, she stated, ’If you think I have worked this hard to lose everything because of a piece of p****y, you better think again. And now I’m going to do something I have never done – I am going to put a woman in a man’s job.’

Jackson also revealed that Bubba would constantly watch pornography in their shared office. He also passed around porn at meetings — pictures of women having sex with other women entitled ‘Why Gay Marriage Should be Legal.’ Bubba also reportedly called two servers fat, saying they shouldn’t be allowed to wear skirts; he also tried to kiss Ms. Jackson, and at one point even had to audacity to spit on her.

The manager also claims that the siblings constantly used the word n*****, and that the working conditions were intolerable. In one instance of racism, during the manager’s five year’s at the restaurant, was when she asked Paula what she would like the server’s to wear for Bubba’s 2007 wedding that the restaurant was catering. Deen replied, ’Well what I would really like is a bunch of little n******s to wear long-sleeve white shirts, black shorts and black bow ties. You know in the Shirley Temple days, they used to tap dance around. Now, that would be a true Southern wedding, wouldn’t it? But we can’t do that because the media would be on me about that.’

Bubba even told a group of employees that ‘they should send President Obama to the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico so he could n******-rig it’ But — by far — the worst showing of racism is that the siblings forced the African American employees to use a separate restroom than that of the white employees. 

Jackson is seeking an unspecified amount of damages in the lawsuit, but no criminal charges have been filed… unfortunately…
