Tyler Perry Studios Damaged in Four-Alarm Fire

Bad news for Tyler Perry today. His Atlanta studio (where the ‘Madea’ movies are filmed) caught fire last night. Reports say that the blaze happened just before 9PM ET and one building had partially collapsed.

The facility is a whopping 200,000 square feet and has a 400-seat theater and numerous sets and sound stages. It took over 100 firefighters and 20 fire trucks slightly over one hour to put the blaze out. No injuries have been reported.

Tyler Perry went to the scene late last night and surveyed the damage, and returned to scene this morning, but he has yet to comment on the fire.

It is still unclear what started the fire or if the fire will affect any current productions, but the important thing is that no one was injured.
