10 Years in Prison for Passing Gas?

Everyone does it, whether they admit it or not. What “it” am I talking about? Farting. Sure, some farts might be portrayed as being “deadly” but we all know they’re not. However, a 19 year old was arrested and held on $20,000 bail for “dropping a bomb.”

Harold Wayne Hadley is the 19 year old and his troubles started at a Mississippi junior college after he allegedly wrote a note on a piece of paper. The note contained the word “bomb.” And, everything went downhill from there. Hadley’s aunt says that Harold wrote, “I passed a bomb in the library. “ Someone ended up finding that note and gave it to a teacher, who then recognized Harold’s handwriting and blew it all out of proportion ( pun intended.) Hadley’s aunt also had this to say; “We are from the country and he calls passing gas, bombs.”

11 emergency agencies rushed to the school, but surprisingly they did not find any bombs.

Is this not the most ridiculous story you have ever heard? If he did have a bomb, why would he be “passing it” in the library? Have you ever heard of someone passing a bomb? That doesn’t sound that safe. The school obviously overreacted. However, why the heck was he writing about his fartscapades in the first place? Was he really that bored? Or is that just what people do down in Mississippi? One can only imagine what his facebook statuses are like…

“10:50am: Hey, everyone. Just passed a few bombs during breakfast. They must have been pretty bad because my aunt couldn’t even finish her food.”

“11:00am: Hey, everyone. It’s Harold, again. Just wanted to let everyone know that the bacon I had earlier is now in the toilet. I’d show you a picture, but I can’t figure this whole internet thing out.”

“2:30pm: Does anybody know how to get stains out of underwear?”
