Taylor Swift Releases “New” Song

Taylor Swift just released a new song titled, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” and to no surprise, it’s about an ex-boyfriend! Here we were thinking that she might have actually found better things to write about; we should have known better. The new song was just released a few days ago and it’s already all over the radio and we really mean all over. It’s already among the last seven days’ 40 most played tracks across all formats!

It’s also getting a lot of attention because everyone wants to know who this new song is about. She has dated so many celebrities; it’s kind of hard to even take a guess. It could be about one of her more recent exes Jake Gyllenhaal, but no one knows for sure — and Taylor really hasn’t offered many hints. However, she did reveal why she started to write the song,

“This guy walks in who is a friend of my ex’s and starts talking about how he’s heard we’re going to get back together. And that was not the case. So I start telling them the story: break up, get back together, break up, get back together – just, ugh, the worst! And I picked up the guitar and [songwriting partner Max Martin] said, ‘This is what we’re writing.’ “ Taylor told Good Morning America.

Seems like a good enough reason, right? It seems like her whole life revolves around getting into a relationship and then making sure it fails, so she can write a song about it. Who am I to judge, though? My whole life revolves around following all of this crap…I am clearly the real loser here.
