Kate Upton has quickly shot to the top of the modelling world, becoming a household name nearly overnight. But, underneath it all, she seems to be the baby faced girl next door. You know — the one you’d pine for in your every waking hour… and in your sleep?

Her second year doing Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Edition was just as hot as the first… if not hotter. But, there is a side of Kate Upton that not everyone gets to see. That is, until Sports Illustrated allowed us a behind the scenes look, showing us several interviews and outtakes with the fashion icon.

Kate seemed like your average girl as she explained how amazing visiting Australia was to do the shoot with Sports Illustrated. ‘It was amazing to see Australia like that,’ she said.

She also talks about how Sports Illustrated is ‘an American tradition.’ She explained that getting to do the magazine the first year was truly exciting, but that to do it a second year was ‘better. You made it. They loved you and you got it again.’

‘If I got the cover… I would be so excited,’ she said, explaining how big landing the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition would be. In a show of true modesty, she said, ‘Being the girl on the cover of the magazine on the coffee table would be… really groundbreaking for me.’ Seriously… does she not know who she is???
