Bill Maher vs. Tim Tebow

The feud has been going on for over a week now when Bill Maher posted a tweet that said…

‘Wow, Jesus fucked #TimTebow bad! And on Xmas Eve! Somewhere in hell Satan is tebowing, saying to Hitler “Hey, Buffalo’s killing them.”

That tweet got a lot of attention and a lot of negative feedback from Tebow fans and Jesus fans. Now, Bill Maher is at again. A few days ago he posted two pictures of him “Tebowing” in Hawaii. In one of the pictures he is in a tree, so naturally he called it, “Treebowing” It seems like Bill Maher loves the attention and I am sure he is getting another round of negative tweets from Tebow fans.

Of course, the tension between the two is simply because of religion. Tebow is a very religious person and Bill Maher is the exact opposite. Bill Maher often makes fun of religion on his show, as well as anything else he disagrees with.

It’s hard for me to take a side in this because on one hand I always talk about how people should lighten up, and not take jokes too seriously. However, I get the feeling that Bill Maher cares less about making people laugh and more about spreading his agenda and hate. He just seems like a nasty person, someone who gets joy out of people hating him. I dislike those kinds of people.

This is where I stand, humor is supposed to be controversial. But more than that, it’s supposed to bring joy and laughter. It’s supposed to make people happy, not spread hate and anger.
