National League MVP Ryan Braun tests positive for PED

This year has been fantastic for Ryan Braun, until now. Ryan has tested positive for a performance-enhancing drug and faces a 50-game suspension if the initial finding is upheld, two sources familiar with the case told “Outside the Lines.”

Major League Baseball has not officially announced the positive test because Braun is disputing the result through arbitration. The positive test was taken during the playoffs and he was notified of the positive results in late October. The test came back positive because of elevated testosterone levels in Braun’s system. Braun told USA TODAY that the test is “B.S.” and a spokesperson for Braun issued the following statement…

“There are highly unusual circumstances surrounding this case which will support Ryan’s complete innocence and demonstrate there was absolutely no intentional violation of the program. While Ryan has impeccable character and no previous history, unfortunately, because of the process we have to maintain confidentiality and are not able to discuss it any further, but we are confident he will ultimately be exonerated.”

Wow, not only is Braun screwed, but the Brewers are screwed too. A 50 game suspension would really hurt; after all he was the MVP last season. Personally, I think performance-enhancing drugs are way overblown in baseball. You know half the players in the NFL have got to be sneaking in a little something. Performance-enhancing drugs do not make you a great baseball player, Braun is already a great baseball player. Did the drugs help him a little? Possibly. However, Braun does know the rules and he did not follow them, so he should and probably will get suspended.

I don’t think this makes him a bad guy and it certainly doesn’t make him a bad baseball player. Not any average joe can take steroids and automatically become an MVP.

Anyway, I don’t want to know what drugs he takes. I want to know what hair products he uses, have you seen the shine?
